I have returned from Devon! Aah, my lovely bed and laptop, how i've missed thee. Ahem, first things first, an exciting recap of stuff that's been on the news this week...
OMG! Armed officers arrested two people on a train in GRANTHAM! Our little town has been on the news for something other than a Margaret Thatcher related story. Pathetic coverage of what happened though. A tiny little red circle showing where it was on a map then it switched to the Birmingham arrests. Pshaw! Then the arrested guys got released anyway but still, it was quite exciting at the time. It didn't even get much coverage in the grantham journal!
Erm, tornado in Birmingham. What the hell?! We're not meant to get those in Britain. It's one of the positive points of living here. Pretty scary when we had to drive past there the next day... the thought may have crossed my mind that one would start up as we drove past. Ahem. Negative, me? Clearly not.
Now then. Devon. It rained. A lot. The sun came out on the LAST DAY which is just so bloody typical *grumble* but hey, it was fun anyway. Especially going to the zoo on the worst day for rain that week. Got completely soaking wet and my trainers went squishy and yuck which wasn't great to try and walk around in. Went shopping in Exeter which was very cool - my new snoopy boxers rule all - and can safely say I like onion gravy.
On the last day we went down to the beach since it was nice weather and all and did some form of sand sculpture in preperation for Lincoln. Collected lot's of pretty stones and a few shells while I was there as well.
Managed to get addicted to bingo as well. My first game and I was ONE number away from getting the house! Muchly annoyed. Anna won the £95 prize on the last night which i'm not bitter about in the slightest. Nuh uh. Cough.
Had many a giggle fit with Anna at night before going to sleep. The first night was the worst as it was a new environment and we were in the weird stages of feeling tired but having lots of energy. And the snoring that kept us awake didn't help lol. Couple that with nearly falling off the beds which were smaller then a single, having the sheet constantly falling off and hitting the walls whenever you moved your leg, sleeping was an... interesting experience. Oh well, it was amusing =)
The caravan sites entertainment thing was really good. The Queen show thing they did was pretty damn cool (but what really made that show was the hyperactive/bouncy/excited girl next to us during 'we will rock you'. Decaf dear.)
Geez, i've just got back home and the parents are considering selling the house again. They've looked at a house near the church today and have fallen madly in love with it so I think they're seriously thinking about it. I just hope they really think about it and don't get their hopes up just in case it doesn't sell in time. But hey, I only have a year here really until I (hopefully) go to univesity so it's really up to them what they end up doing.
Need to go do stuff, update again later at some point
xXx
